| Car vs. Pole in East Ridge EAST RIDGE, TENN – At about 6:00 PM, Monday, May 25, 2009, the East Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to Ringgold Road and Burns Avenue on a motor vehicle accident with injuries, car vs. pole. On arrival they found a single vehicle, a white Acura TSX in the roadway with a power pole snapped off beside it. There was no entrapment. Medics from Lifeguard EMS along with firefighters treated the female driver and transported her to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. The pole was completely severed at its base. Traffic on Burns Avenue was halted and one lane of traffic on Ringgold Road was also shut down. The East Ridge Police Department is investigating the accident. |
