Highway 58 VFD Holds Annual Awards Banquet

HAMILTON COUNTY, TENN – On Saturday, December 12, 2009, the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire
Department held its annual Christmas dinner and awards banquet.  After a fantastic dinner buffet
and the introduction of special guests, the following awards were given:
Presidents Award: Bill and Charlotte Dover
Board of Directors Award: James Daughetee
Station 1 Firefighter of the Year: Nick Wilson
Station 1 First Responder of the Year: Vincent Vella
Station 2 Firefighter of the Year: Jayme Best
Station 3 Firefighter of the Year: Cody Wright
Station 4 Firefighter of the Year: Cody Fortner
Station 5 Firefighter of the Year: Ethan Wright

The Chief of the Department, Charles Harris, then recognized Nick Wilson from Station 1 for his
outstanding work and dedication to the department during the year.

Bi-Lo Supermarket represented by Becky Wilson, and two employees, Sherry Turner and Jordan
Harper were recognized for their efforts and contributions to the department.

Of course the night ended with a visit from Santa Claus who provided gifts for the children and the
firefighters.  Thanks Chief!
